Tessa is a capable warlock who has spent a great deal of time studying magic as well as honing her additional ability of shapeshifting. In terms of magic, Tessa isn't as strong as, say, Magnus Bane, but she's capable enough. For the most part, she uses her magic to help people. If needed, however, she is able to use magic to defend herself.
For the most part, any magic she might use involving other played characters will usually involve healing spells, casting light or glamours, or other things of that nature.
I will always check in with any player involved if Tessa's magic might potentially affect them in a thread. She will never attack another played character with magic unless it has been previously plotted out between myself and the player involved, and she will never use a spell on another played character unless it has been previously discussed between myself and the player involved.
However, if you would like to use Tessa's magic for a plot or thread, just let me know on this page here! Tessa is usually happy to use her magic to help others.
Mostly, this page is for her Shapeshifting abilities. Because of her dual Shadowhunter and demon heritage, Tessa possesses the ability to shapeshift. In order for her to do so, she needs to possess an object of the person she's changing into. Normally, in her canon, once she changes into a person once, she no longer needs to hold an object of theirs to transform. Also shifting does take energy; if she stays Changed too long she won't be able to keep up the shift. As canon as not shown her able to shift into animals thus far, so Tessa will only be able to shift into other humans here. If she changes into a supernatural human, she will not gain their supernatural abilities.
Tessa will never Change into a played character unless it has been discussed between myself and the player of the character involved.
If you ever want to have Tessa's shapeshifting abilities for a plot, leave a comment here. If you don't want her shapeshifting into your character, you don't have to comment at all. Again, Tessa will only ever shapeshift into a played character after it's been discussed by myself and any player involved.
